Crazy!

Good morning everyone!  I'm in an especially good mood today because I was able to run outside the first time since Saturday.  Oh, how I love being outside.  Today, I did 3 miles and it flew by.  I love how when you have done some much longer distances and then you go to a shorter distance how easy it feels.

Thanks everyone for joining my first Virtual Race.  Looks like we have some good people involved already so that is awesome.  I also want to apologize to Johann - I was not trying to exclude anyone outside the USA.  The more the merrier for the race!  If you missed my post yesterday, go here to see what it's all about and sign up on that day's comments.  I'll start to compile a list this weekend.  I'm still really, really busy at work but so far, so good.

I tried to explain what a virtual race was to my wife - she just thought I was crazy.  Actually probably weird.  I think they are great ideas with some fun and prizes mixed in.  Many people don't understand the blogging world and think we are nuts but I really enjoy talking to all the bloggers around the world!

Have a great day and......Keep Running!

  1. Yay for running outside!! My husband thinks I am strange with the whole blogging thing, too :) Especially when I start talking to him about some of the blogs I read he is like "but you have never met these people and you talk about them like they are your friends!" LOL!

  3. I had an awesome treadmill run this morning, it seems like we are always doing the opposite of each other. We are the ebony/ivory, yin/yang of the midwest blogger running scene.

  4. No need to apologize! I was thinking (again) this morning how fortunate I am to be able to run outside throughout the year. My family thinks it's very cool that I "know" runners from other countries.

  12. I think it's in the wife code to think we are weird ... it's what makes them normal.

  13. Kovas - ha! You know why don't you? Because you are in Chicago and your weather gets to you first and then gets to us in Detroit so we are usually off.

Amanda - hoping you can make do it. You can do the Shamrock 5k race as part of my virtual race.

    Jim - couldn't agree more.

  14. Running outside really does rock. hoping that Al Roker is just joking and we avoid the snow that's supposed to come tonight so I can long run outside tomorrow.

  15. These winter virtual runs always favor the southerns. They should have to run in snow shoes or something.
