Resting today

No running for me today.  Actually no exercise today.  It's my rest day.  I love having Friday as my rest day.  It's nice to sleep in a little on Friday morning before work or stay up a little later on Thursday night as well.

As I have thought more about what to do for the virtual 5k, I have decided to add this book to my list of prizes.  I've read it so I know it's an awesome book and any runner would really enjoy reading it as well.  You can read a little about it at my post here.  I did a brief post on one of the races in the book.

Have a great day and.....Keep Running!

  1. I tried to get up and cross train this morning but I just didn't want to. My bed was way more comfy! I guess I should just plan on Fridays being a rest day because I can never motivate myself to get up unless I am going for a run!

  4. Rest days are SO important. Overuse injuries and strains are not fun at all! I hope you have a great weekend!

  5. Monday is my rest day. I treasure it. I've been after that book and have actually asked a blogger friend visiting SA in April to bring me one as I can't find it here. Enjoy your weekend!

  9. Did you do something fun last night, knowing that you'd get a little more sleep? Did you get that extra sleep? I love rest days. Looking forward to this virtual 5K!

  10. I am with you on the rest day. Today is my day as well and I love it. It helps so much with the mind as well as body. I get so ready for Saturday's workout b/c of this day. Hardest part is watching what I eat.

  14. I have had a rest day since last Friday. Ugh. My foot started bothering me a couple of weeks ago when I was running and it has started when I walk. I'm hoping laying off a little while will help. Happy Friday!
