Hotel workout

Great ride this morning. Well, great as it can be on an exercise bike. I did 10 miles on the hotel's exercise bike this morning. I also lifted free weights this morning which I was not used to. I just tried to do similar exercises I do on my bowflex. It seemed to be good gym quality equipment. There is one bike, one treadmill, one elliptical and free weights and a weight machine. I was really concerned with 200 rooms that I would not be able to get on anything. Ha! I was the only one in there the first half hour and only one other guy came to lift weights. I guess I didn't need to worry. I guess that's probably about right - 1% of us(2 of 200 rooms) working out on a regular basis.

I decided to bring my outdoor running clothes. Pittsburgh is supposed to get 2-4 inches tonight so I'm not sure I'll get in an outdoor run. Also still worried about running outside in the dark too. We shall see.

I'm going to keep this weeks posts fairly short since I'm doing them on an iPod.

Have a great day and....Keep running!

  3. It always surprises me who is in hotel gyms. One time I was in Portland, OR and at like 5am, there were three like 80 year old men running on the treadmills. It was crazy, I thought I was going to be the only one there.

  7. I always go to hotels with a gym because I want to follow my training program.
You were lucky to be alone. It seldom happens.

  10. You know, I rarely have a problem getting a workout in at a hotel. Of course, I'm usually in the gym at about 0530, and most of the other hotel guests probably don't want to work out that early!
