Come on "Everyone's doing it..."

Did my cross train today with 10 miles on the bike.  Jeez, yesterday's long run really seemed long and it was only 9 miles, a step back week.  My knee tweaked a little but it's fine now.  I stood on my food wrong yesterday and the damn thing hurt for hours.  Today it seems to be ok(can still feel something there-not hurt but not right either) and I'm glad there is no running today.  Really starting to get in the swing of marathon training.  This week calls for an additional mile on Tuesday, 2 additional on Wednesday and an additional on Thursday.  Hoping for some better weather so I can get outside again too.

-------------------------------------

I have been watching the many blogs sharing the ABC's of themselves so I decided to get on the bandwagon.  I'll go in reverse though:

(Z) Zoo:  Penguins; I didn't say I was slow but I do like watching them(the animal that is, not the slow runners)

(Y) Yummy food you make:  Chili in the crockpot; really tasty after 8 hours of simmering and low in fat

(X) X-Rays:  Teeth; I've been pretty lucky, huh?  Never had a broken bone or sprain ever.

(W) What makes you run late: Nothing; I'm not a person that runs late :)

(V) Vegetable you dislike:  Lima beans - I'll never touch them.

(U) Underwear - Yes; but while running I wear UA tech underwear; really comfortable but expensive.

(T) Time you wake up? 5am during the week; 8-9 Saturday; 7am Sunday for long run.

(S) Siblings: 2 brothers

(R) Right or Left Handed?  Lefty; wife is also a lefty

(Q) Quote from a Movie:  "But face it.  You're a neo maxi zoom dweebie, what would you do if you weren't out making yourself a better citizen?"

(P) Pet Peeve:  Poor service in a restaurant

(O) Overnight Hospital Stays? None

(N) Nicknames: Junior; only in college

(M) Mom's name:  Kathie

(L) Live:  Born and raised and still living in Detroit suburbs

(K) Kids:  2 - a girl and a boy

(J) Job Title:  Business Banking Officer

(I) Instruments you play: None

(H) Height: 5' 6"

(G) Gold or Silver?  Gold, my wedding band is all I have.

(F) Favorite Color:  Red

(E) Essential Start your day item:  My running shoes :)

(D) Dogs?  None, my wife hates dogs

(C) Chore you really dislike?  Painting

(B) Bed Size:  King

(A) Age: 41

Thanks for playing!

Question of the day:  If you were invisible for one day and could go anywhere without being detected, where would you go and what would you do?

Have a great day and......Keep Running!!!!!

  1. hopefully the minor pain doesn't turn into anything!

If I go could anywhere without being detected..hm...I don't know. I guess some big event where I could rub elbows with a bunch of celebrities. I'd just follow all of them around to see what they're really like hehe

  2. I can't cook to save my life and I just started experimenting with a crockpot.

So far, I'm about 50/50 on failures to successes. But I'm trying!

  4. Lima beans - not an invention per se, but whomever discovered you could eat them should be shot.

  9. Jeff! I completed my virtual 5K today out in the chilly weather of Iowa. My time was not the best, but it's done: 35 minutes for the 5K. Spent too much time dodging dog poop and a muddy trail.

Now I must go clean off my shoes--very mucky outside. spring is coming!
Thanks for the virtual 5K--it got me outside for the first time this year.

  10. Haha! Some good answers. Johann - that's a good one! Christi - can tell you are about my age. Haha! Only someone in their early 40's loved this movie since we were in High school.
