Finally back in order

Today was my cross training day.  10 miles on the bike and also weights workout.  Had to start at 4:30am this morning due to some work obligations.

------------------------------------

Well I finally got the blog back in order.  As you probably notice, I had to add all the blogs I was following from my old profile onto my new profile.  LOTS and LOTS of cut and pasting.  Frustrating.  I'm hoping I will not have to change that for a very long time.

I'm still trying to see the advantage to not having ".blogspot" on the address.  I guess at least I don't have to worry about anyone taking the detroitrunner name since I now own it, at least on the website.  I'm sure I will see advantages as time goes on.  I do get my own e-mail which is nice.

-----------------------------------

This is a big week for my training.  It will be one of the highest number of miles I will have to do in my training.  This training stuff sure does take up a lot of time, huh?  Add the time for training into the time I have to put in for my relatively new job and that pretty much sums up my week.  I get a little breather on Saturday's from both work and running which is nice.

This is a great video of the NYC Marathon course.  I would like this to be the next marathon I run:

Question of the day:  What is your dream race that you want to do?  Mine is above!

Have a great day and.....Keep Running!!!!!

  1. The migration is really tedious but at least going forward, all the search engines will be pointing to your shiny, new domain and (unless you change your domain name), this will remain constant going forward.

  2. NYC '09 is by far the best race I have ever run, of any distance. The crowds, the excitement, the variety of scenery, the FUN...unparalleled. I tossed my name into the lottery on a whim and got in on my first try. I say go for it! :)

  3. Training seriously does take up an insane amount of time. The worst is that I don't have enough running friends, so no one really understands. Also, my non runner friends all think I talk about running too much.

  4. Training does suck the personal life out of you. And well sleep. That's the only way I can get my runs in is early am before the kids wake up. I put in my name for NY this year to. I'll be shocked if I get in!

  12. mine is Mama Rose's Estes Park in Colorado. The name has very sentimental value to me even though I didnt know that mama rose. Rose was my grandmothers name on my mothers side and estes is my maiden name on my dad's side, so double the sentiment!

  15. @Detroit Runner - guys can run it, but you gotta be REAL special and have excellent connections (like the editors of RW, the race director, Oprah, etc).
