First, please say a little prayer for Japan the tragedy they are going through. Any of our daily problems are nothing compared to what they are dealing with over there.

7 miles on the schedule. You know what I did. Unfortunately, this one I had to do on the treadmill since it was cold and rainy outside. I really am Mr. Consistency when following a training program. They really do payoff in the end.

Spibelt was nice enough to share the winners of their belts on the Virtual 5k on their Facebook page. I thought that was really cool!!!

I really could use a vacation. If any of you want to put me(and my wife and two kids) up for a week in your warm State, just let me know. No vacation due until June/July. That sure seems like a long time away, doesn't it? On a positive note, my marathon is a Memorial weekend so that will be a fun long weekend!

Thought this was cool from Dailymile's website. You can get all distances to put on your blogs.

My next endurance goal after the marathon! Maybe not this year, maybe not next year but someday this WILL be on my schedule. I really need a training partner for this one to keep me motivated. Maybe Team in Training! Crazy, I know - but then most people think it's crazy to run a marathon too. Great little video. Not sure I would get the tattoo though. Haha!

Question of the day? Anybody run a back to back half marathon before? How did it go? Not that I have or would but just wondering.
Have a great day and......Keep Running!!!!!
You are so right about Japan..so sad.
ReplyDeleteI like your approach of easing into doing a marathon...there's no need to rush and your body will thank you for waiting.
I've done 1/2s two weeks apart before, but never closer together than that. The second one was a few seconds slower than the first, fwiw.
Too bad you don't live in Colorado. I would definitely train with you for an IM!
ReplyDeleteIM, what a goal!
ReplyDeleteI think it would be so awesome to be an ironman (or at least half), but so agree that it's something I'd need a training partner for, or maybe even a coach! Especially since I'm not a good swimmer, and the most biking I've ever done was to and from class (in fact, 3 years ago I got on a bike for the first time in a while, and wiped out TWICE)
ReplyDeleteI was so pumped that they put that up on their facebook!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat goals that you've got! I ran 7 on the TM yesterday too. It was just way too windy for my liking yesterday.
I did two half's a week apart. Not back to back days.
ReplyDeleteAre you kidding me? If I did an Ironman I'd tattoo the m-dot on my forehead.
ReplyDelete7 miles on the treadmill are pure courage!
ReplyDeleteGood luck on the IM, great goal.
