Did my 4 easy miles today. Now it's time to take a couple days off until my Half marathon on Sunday. This is the first time I have taken off two days in a row since I started training for the marathon but I really would like my legs nice and fresh for the half.
Do you ever get phantom leg pains before a race? This happens to me and they usually go away after I sleep but they are really strange.
Have a great day and.....Keep Running!!!!!
I call them jimmy legs. Aches, pains, jolts, etc - they go away after the race.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah definitely phantom leg pains -mine are usually due to nerves. Good luck at the half!
ReplyDeleteGood luck at the half! I can't remember the last time I took two days off in a row unless it was for illness!
ReplyDeleteMy legs only hurt when I run.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a great couple of days of rest.
ReplyDeleteOh, phantom leg pains... :)I get them all the time before a race and then proceed to freak out and try to diagnose myself via google. But then they somehow mysteriously go away as soon as I'm occupied elsewhere. Neurotic much?

Taper Twinges... Don't let them freak you out, they're normal and everything is going to be alright come race day! Good luck!!!
ReplyDeleteI love all the nicknames we have for this. Yup, been there done that. I've had a 'sprained ankle' pop out of nowhere a few days before quite a few of my races. And it vanishes the morning of. Go figure.
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
Enjoy your rest days!!! Good luck on your half, Jeff!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck on Sunday! Hopefully we get to meet in person.
ReplyDeleteAhhhh what I call the taper tantrums! You are so not alone! Best of luck this weekend! :)
ReplyDeleteI think the "phantom pains" are super normal. Enjoy the rest and good luck this weekend!
