Time to rest

Did my 4 easy miles today.  Now it's time to take a couple days off until my Half marathon on Sunday.  This is the first time I have taken off two days in a row since I started training for the marathon but I really would like my legs nice and fresh for the half.

Do you ever get phantom leg pains before a race?  This happens to me and they usually go away after I sleep but they are really strange.

Have a great day and.....Keep Running!!!!!

  1. I call them jimmy legs. Aches, pains, jolts, etc - they go away after the race.

  3. Good luck at the half! I can't remember the last time I took two days off in a row unless it was for illness!

  5. Oh, phantom leg pains... :)I get them all the time before a race and then proceed to freak out and try to diagnose myself via google. But then they somehow mysteriously go away as soon as I'm occupied elsewhere. Neurotic much?

  7. I love all the nicknames we have for this. Yup, been there done that. I've had a 'sprained ankle' pop out of nowhere a few days before quite a few of my races. And it vanishes the morning of. Go figure.

    Good luck!
