WTF Wednesday...

6 miles on the schedule.  This run kicked my butt.  It was hot(low 70's) and humid.  Got er' done!

--------------------------

Welcome back to WTF Wednesday:

1)  Today on my run I enjoyed a little extra nutrition for breakfast.  A nice bug flew into my mouth, crawled around and I spit it out!  Yuck! - WTF was with the bugs this morning!
Ok, it wasn't that big but gross!

2)  Did I mention it was hot out this morning - WTF - we Michiganders get the craziest weather.  I can't really complain too much though.  I have not run on the treadmill since March 24th!  And I've only run in the rain twice since then.  VERY lucky!
This wasn't on my run this morning even though I have had morning like this.
This is just before the sun set on July 4th weekend up north.
3)  Ok, the last one is not related to running.  Casey Anthoney - Not guilty.  Really?  That's all I'm going to say about that - WTF!
Huh?

Question of the day:  If you ride, what brand of bike do you ride and why?

Have a great day and.....Keep Running!!!!!!

  1. Ewwww, that bug is so gross and I am glad that is not the one to have flown in your mouth!

I ride an Orbea Diva. I love it! I got the Orbea because she rode the best out of all the ones I tried. And she has proven to be a great bike.

  2. oh Jeff, that is gross! :) I have a Trek 2000. It feels ancient compared to the other bikes out there but the price was right ($300 on ebay). I would love a lighter, newer bike but it is not in the cards right now. bummer!

    karen @ working it out...

  3. I will be in Michigan at the end of the month for 5 days and I am already worried about running there.. I remember running there last summer and feeling like I was going to DIE because it was so hot. I love Michigan though. I ride a specialized bike. It's awesome and I am so happy to have it. I should go ride it soon.

  4. I can't tell you how many bugs I've swallowed in my time. Gross each and every time!

I'm still in shock that she wasn't guilty... :(

  5. Oh, I've also had unfortunate run ins with bugs. Not fun at all.

wish I had a bike but I haven't been on one in decades. literally. It's really sad, especially since my Dad writes a trail guide for Michigan! Good thing he loves me anyway!

  6. RR - for seconds. Enough to freak me out.

Christi - Nice bike! I looked at their website. Yowza!

Karen - no new bike for me either. When/if I commit to a 140.6, then I'll get one so it's going to be awhile.

Mallory - You'll do fine. I just like to complain. The run I'm worried about is the Crim - 10 miles at end of August. Yuck!(but fun)

Lisa - that's awesome your Dad writes a trail guide. It's probably harder in NY to get out there on a bike(without getting killed)
