6 miles on the schedule today out at Stony Creek Park. It was in the 50's but some wind - a great day for a run.
Do you ever have that run? You know, the one that you wish would never end? The one you feel you could run forever?

Ok, maybe not this long. |
The one where you feel strong the entire way through? I had one of those today. I felt great. It felt like I could have done another 6 but I knew I shouldn't. The funny thing is - I didn't even bring my water on my run today. I know it's not that critical for six miles but I'm so used to carrying my water bottle that I thought I would miss it. There were times I wish I had it but it really was no big deal. I was just amazed by how I felt today. It's life's little pleasures that keep me going.
Have you had the euphoric run?
Have a great day and....Keep Running!!!!
Nice run, Jeff! I had one of those types of runs last Sunday, when I planned to run 5 or 6 miles at whatever pace felt comfortable (no specific pace in mind, and it wasn't a tempo run). Once I started running, I felt great and ended up running 9 miles at only about 10 seconds slower than my 10K PR pace. The best part is that it felt like I wasn't putting forth as much effort as I should have for that pace/distance combination. I also felt like I could've run for several more miles, and I hope I have that kind of run the next time I race a half marathon.
ReplyDeleteI love those kind of runs. I wish every run could be like those!
ReplyDeleteThose are the ones that keep you coming back. I love those.
