Versatile Blogger Award

The other day I was tagged by Mark Matthews from About Mark Matthews for the Versatile Blogger Award.  Go check him out.  He's got a great new book out called "The Jade Rabbit" and I was lucky enough to be one of the first to read it.  You can get it at Amazon HERE.

Now, I'm not sure I'm Versatile.  Really, I like something and stick with it....like Running!  But I'll try to tell you seven unique things about me:

1) I used to be a Home Theater Fanatic.  Of course, that's when I used to like sitting on my ass all day(and had more money, ha!) but I still enjoy watching a movie in our home theater.  Here it is.  I even designed it.

2) My favorite place to vacation is our cottage up north.  For those of you not from Michigan.  Up North(Northern Michigan) is a place many of us from down state go to get away but still stay in the State.  I love it up there anytime of the year.  It feels like time stands still and there's no planning to go there.

3) I'm not a sports fan....well, except for running.  Other than that, I don't follow baseball, football, hockey,basketball(when there's a season) etc.  We have some huge sports fans in the Detroit area.  Not that I don't enjoy going to sports events but I don't care who hit what, when, how many, who's on the team or whatever.  I probably couldn't name 10 sports figures outside the major people---as a guy, sad, I know but I just don't care.

4) I'm a saver....well, in my eyes(maybe not my wife), I'm a saver.  My plan is to retire early and enjoy it so I sacrifice a little more now to benefit later!  Isn't it supposed to be that way?  Haha!

5) I've got two kids, a girl and a boy.  I don't show pictures of them or use their name on here anymore because my wife would prefer they not be on the internet so I respect that.

6)  I used to play golf(quite a bit) but I really stink at it.  I mean like 25 handicap stink!  Sometimes I have to play golf outings for work(I know, rough) but I didn't play at all last year mainly because I was training for the marathon plus I lost interest since I'm not good.

7) I have thought of ways I could make a supplemental income off running.  They always say many successful businesses started from someones passion.  I haven't got this one figured out yet but I've had some ideas.  I have no crazy thoughts of making it a full time career but I think there are ways to make money on the things you enjoy.  I'm sure many of you have thought of this before.  Unfortunately, not an easy thing to do.  Of course, if it were easy, everyone would do it, huh?
