---------------
Recently, I was contacted by the blogging team of the North Face Endurance Challenge. They asked me to be part of their blogger team and blog about their Madison, Wisconsin race. In exchange, I would receive a free entry into the race or I could offer the race entry to one of my readers. To be honest, I have not decided what to do there. Today was the first day of marathon training for me for the Grand Rapids Marathon in October. In four months, I'll be running #4.
The North Face Endurance Challenge Madison is being help the weekend of September 15, 16. I am really excited to be a part of spreading the word on this race. I love North Face! I have a couple of their running jackets and they are the best. I'm just trying to decide whether I'm up for the challenge and even if I'm not, I'll be happy to spread the word and share the entry with one of you! Keep in mind that I have not run this race but it's a race that has been on my to-do list since they have been doing this race series.
The Madison race is a trail race and they have lots of distances to choose so it fits the skill level for everyone! The kids can run a kid's run but there's also a 5k, 10k, half, full, 50k or a 50 miler!!!! I can't even get my brain around running 50 miles - crazy awesome! Over the next few months, I will blog periodically about this race and give you additional information, video and facts.
Here's a quick look at the marathon route:

Have a great day and....Keep Running!!!!
Wow, looks like a great race! If only I was on the same continent...:( Would love that 50 miler!
ReplyDeleteThat's worth a trip to the USA Johann!
DeleteYou should sign up for the 50K and we can run together!
ReplyDeleteKovas - if it were in November, I'd probably go for it but Sept. is too close. I'm leaning towards running the marathon though but just concerned about that elevation and a shortened training period along with the fact I have a marathon a month later too. Oh, jeez!
DeleteI did the NF race in Kansas City last year...only the 10K. I'm planning on the half marathon this year. Of course in KC, it's a road race. I think it's the only road race they have in the series. KC sucks for trails. I think you should do it!
ReplyDeleteYes, it looks like their only road race and rest are trails.
