6 month review 2012 vs. 2011

11 miles on the schedule today.  Had a nice run out at Paint Creek Trail with my running buddy.  Started at 7am this morning to beat the heat but is was still a pretty warm run.  Not many people out there that early on a Sunday but saw lots of people out on the way back in.
Mizuno Wave Rider 15's
I hope to have a full review up of the Mizuno Wave Rider 15's this week.  Today's long run was the last test before I do a full review.

Wow, this is an eye opener for me.  While my running is up slightly, biking and weights is down dramatically.  I guess the cross training really did make a difference as I certainly felt better last year.  These are my activities:

2012 YTD
815 miles of running
70 miles of biking
8 weights workouts

2011 YTD
787 miles of running
205 miles of biking
40 weights workouts

There's only one word I think of when seeing this - Slacker!  Time to get back in order.

On a positive note, here's what I've done for running the last 365 days:
Running activity 7/1/11 to 6/30/12

164,916 calories lost - I think I'm due a really big donut.  Haha!

  2. You may be slacking on cross training, but you're hardly a slacker! I'm kind of the opposite of you right now - my running has been cut back this year & I've done more biking & stuff than ever. I do like Run Less Run Faster's theory of running 3 days & doing at least 2 days of cross training. Seems to work for me!
