Big September summary.....

5 miles on the schedule today...done!

------------------

I'm really excited to share this post with you.  Overall, I didn't do any weight lifting and no biking but I did something that I worked really hard to accomplish.  I ran 200 miles for the month of September - a new monthly PR.  This is the most I've ever ran in a month.  I also finished the month with 57 miles the last week of the month - a new PR for weekly mileage as well.  That last week was a tough one since I also finished with a half marathon race which was close to my PR.

I can't say that I'll be there again anytime soon so I'm really excited I was able to get there.  It probably won't be until next year(and even then I'm not sure) for me to get that high of mileage again so for me this is a historic month.  I'm tired!  Ha!  Hope your month went well.  Sticking to mostly taper mode for October so the numbers will come down dramatically.

Have a great day and....Keep Running!!!!

  1. 200 miles is awesome and that near-PR on a hilly course really shows your progress!

  2. Congrats on 200+, but you still need to do the cross-training. Injuries are lurking around the corner.......

  4. Keep the miles up there (if the winter isn't to hard) and even if you are only looking at a 10km race you now know that the extra miles are making you fast... just think what you could have run is you had had a couple of days easy before last weeks half? (and what if it had been flat... PR PR PR).

I'm only cutting back this week as my race is next week...
