  1. Hi! I'm a running newbie so this may sound silly, but are you using the duct tape to hold your shoes together or trap your body heat?

    1. Ha! Just for warmth. Great when the temps hit below 20. Keeps wind out.

  3. Yes, I'm not such a newbie, but am trying to figure out why the duct tape.

    Here's some possibilities:
1 stops cold air from getting through the mesh and making your feet cold
    2. for running through wetness to preserve the shoes
    3. because it makes you look cool
    4. because who knows when you may need to take duct tape off your feet and be all Macgyver-like, maybe bandage a wounded deer on a trail run, or tape your wounds shut when you cut yourself, or tape your running partners mouth shut when he is talking too much
    5. because your shoes are falling apart
    6. you received a shipment from the duct tape company who have asked you to show off the many uses of their product
    7. the camera slipped form your hands at the last second, this was going to be a self-shot in the mirror of your new beard.

Okay, that's all I got. Feel free not to say, though, and let my imagination wonder.
