5 miles on the schedule today. Had a great run this morning. I'm sure it had something to do with me going to bed a 1/2 early. Felt great the entire run.

| Salomon Momentum Beanie |
I've had the Salomon Beanie for several weeks now. I'm really enjoying this new beanie I purchased. As you know, I've been partial to Headsweats beanies/hats but I decided to try out this beanie by Salomon.
Probably one of the most unique and best features of this beanie, that I wish other companies would follow, is the open side panels that allow for glasses to be put on without putting the glasses over the beanie. It's the main reason I purchased the beanie. It makes for a much more comfortable fit with glasses while also helping to keep your head warm on a cold weather run.
If you have ever worn anything by Salomon, you will know that the quality of their products is top notch. Of course, many times this comes with a price premium as it does with this beanie.
The cost of the beanie is $26. A bit high for a beanie in my opinion but I also received it for 20% off at Runningwarehouse(dot)com so at least I got it for a little over $20. At that price, it was worth a try and I'm glad that I purchased it. I checked before posting this and it looks like they don't even have it listed on their website now but do have a headband version. It's also sold out on the Salomon website as well so it must be a pretty popular beanie.
I've washed it numerous times after each run and the beanie has stayed together well again showing the high quality of the beanie.
I highly recommend picking up one if you are looking for a new beanie and you use sunglasses on your winter runs. I think you will find, like I did, you are happy with your purchase.

This beanie is on sale on Sierra Trading Post as of Feb 4, 2014. I got one for about $11 and love how it fits!
