Blogging on IPad

5 miles on the schedule today. It was actually pretty nice outside today. Chsnged my route so i didnt need to run in as much snow and hoping it will all melt this week.

I recently purchased an iPad a couple weeks ago and have been looking for an app to use to easily blog on the iPad. I can say that I do love the fact that I can sit down in the great room and watch TV while blogging.

Blogging on IPad
Believe it or not, there's not many apps to use for blogging. Since I'm on the Blogger format, I tried the Blogger app but its not that user friendly and it does not let you put pictures where you want them in your post. You can only put them at the end of a post. Really? Come on blogger.

Fortunately, through my research, I found Blogsy. Blogsy is a blogging app that let's you use whatever blog format you have, it gives you the ability to post pictures where you want and it allows you to pull pictures from many sources(Internet, Facebook, Instagram, etc). You can also email your blog post if you want as well. I'm still learning all the functions of the app but it seems to do 90% of what I'm looking for. At least this way I can do a blog post without being stuck on the computer and can do the final edits on my computer. For those of you with an iPad, I suggest you check it out. In fact, this entire post was done with Blogsy so if it does not look right, don't worry I'm working on using it better.

Have a great day and....Keep Running!!!!

  1. Ryan has an ipad and I play with it from time to time, but I get somewhat intimidated by it. I type so slow on it. Do you feel like you can still type out your posts at the same speed as you would on a normal computer?

  2. Thanks for the post! I can get really annoyed quickly blogging on the iPad but sounds like this blogsy may be a good alternative to the wordpress app...

  4. I've been on leave for 2 weeks and have been using my HTC phone for everything, just to lazy to get the laptop out, then Today I was back at work and our server was down... So I'm back on the phone, but I felt I needed to read a couple of blogs...

So I hope this goes through... Sorry tour body has taken a little beating in training for your marathons, that is why I only run them for fun, and don't train that hard anymore!!! Ran a 30km road race this weekend past and it's hard work running that distance on the road...

I hope you get the mojo back and run some good times in the half this year...

  5. I use the Nexus 7 for some of my blogging. Though I do not use an app. I use Chrome browser as is I were at my computer. Real easy to use.

  6. Glad you mentioned this. I am looking into getting an iPad and wanted to be able to blog from it. I got my girlfriend one for her birthday and she has had difficulty blogging from it, particularly to do with the placement of pictures, but I will share this information with her so she can give it a shot too!
