Balega Ultra Light socks review and giveaway!!!!

Several weeks ago I received an inquiry from Balega about testing one of their socks.  They gave me their website and had me pick a pair to test out.  I was interested in doing this review because I'm always on the lookout for great socks to run in.  Balega has a great name for running socks.  I've heard good things from many people but I've also heard that they move down while running so this was my chance to test them out.

Here's the pair I picked:
Ultra light!
I was looking for something that was very light and made for warm weather and was low.  In this case, these are the no show option.

Upon initial try on, they were very comfortable.  You can see from the picture below, there is an elastic arch support built into the sock which helps the sock remain in place while running.  I didn't notice the sock moving around at all.

The heal and toes are cushioned but still remain very light.  The extra cushion should help make these last for numerous years.  In this case, there is a tab at the back of the sock that makes it easy to remove. In addition, it helps keep the achilles from hitting your shoe.  They fit just slightly above the shoe which is exactly how I like it.  I prefer either no show or mini crew socks.
You can see the extra cushion, back tab but still ultra light

As you can see above, they are specifically made for your left and right foot so they fit perfect.

What I like most about these is that you can barely tell you have socks on.  It's probably the thinnest pair of socks that I have and they make my feet feel like I'm running barefoot.  The other thing I like is this helps give my feet slightly more room in the shoe so my toes feel like they can move even more when running.

The socks are made from 78% Drynami(Balega's Drynamix moisture management fibers and unique rapid moisture evaporation system) along with 20% Nylon and 2% Elastane.  Because of this special material, they kept my feet dry which helps to reduce the chance of blisters.  Having no seam at the toes also helps with blisters and keep them comfortable.  I've run up to 12 miles with these with no issues at all and probably wore them about 50 miles overall before doing this review.  The socks fit true to size.

These will go in my regular sock rotation.  I'm happy to have another brand option to wear.
