Week five is in the books. 13 weeks to go!
Monday - 3 miles(Actual - No running but did weights and yoga)
Tuesday - 7 miles(Actual - No running but did yoga)
Wednesday - 3 miles(Actual - 3.11 miles, weights, yoga)
Thursday - Rest(Actual - 5.01 miles, yoga)
Friday - 7 miles(Actual - yoga)
Saturday - 13.1 miles(Actual - 12.94 miles - Legend Trail half)
Sunday - Cross train(Actual - yoga)
Total Run miles - 21.06 miles
If you read my post on Thursday, then you will see I've pulled out of training for Boston. IT Band issues made me do it although I'm already feeling better. I'm still training but made some changes to the schedule starting this coming week. I'll be back to my Monday through Thursday runs with rest Friday, Long run Saturday and rest Sunday. It's worked for me in the past, so hoping it still works. Time will tell.

I hope the IT issues get better. Mine are good one day and bad the next. Drives me crazy. I'm just taking it one day at a time.
ReplyDeleteI think when marathon day comes, you'll blow your PR away! Wouldn't be surprised if you do BQ!
If you manage it properly the ITB issues will go away. Turning things down a bit is the best and wise way to go about it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Johann. I agree and I've turned the speed work down. It's helped for sure. I had an issue a few years ago to and don't want to get to that point again.
