Who wants to run the Mustache Dache? I do!
The Mustache Dache is coming to Detroit. The owner of the race, RUNdetroit has invited me to this 5k race and I'm hoping all of you can join me too. It sounds like a fun one! Here's some details.
The race is on November 9th at 10am start. Remember to bring ID since they will be serving beer.
What's included?
The Mustache Dache shirt(if registered by 10/13)
A chip timed 5k - runners and walkers welcome
10% of your registration fee goes to Movember
Free photobooth!
Prizes to the top 3 in each age group - I'm in the Mid-Life Crisis group(40-59). They will also be doing prizes for some of the best costumes and teams.
An awesome finisher medal!
Entry to the post-race Beer Garden
Packet pickup at RUNdetroit the day before or race morning at the start area.
A reason to dress up and have a mustache(that's my favorite reason)(I may even grow one again - Goatee)

Of course I already like the DR page and RunDetroit :) But I posted on both. Also I have been to their website before but I absolutely love that they have a canine member on their about page- Ace! I bet he is very important with the logistics of the store :) This race looks like so much fun!!
ReplyDeleteLiked both FB pages and I travel to Detroit to visit friends there. What a great added excuse to travel and see them again! I will also have to visit the store and the owners Justin Craig and Alia Polsgrove the next time I am in town.

ReplyDeleteAnd an interesting fact about the owners of RunDetroit is that one of them is a dog named Ace who once was a shelter dog.
ReplyDeleteI stopped exercise in 2007 and gained 20 lbs and finally started running this July 2013, and finished the Brooksie Way half marathon in 2:02:23.
