That's it! This was my last big push. I'm done with the heavy stuff. Yes, I'm in taper mode. Yahoo. As I've said in the past, while many do not embrace the taper, I enjoy it. I get my legs back the next three weeks and while I still feel like I struggle through these next three weeks, I know I'm really not.
Overall, I'm pretty happy to have hit three 50 mile weeks in this schedule. It's the hardest I've trained for a marathon. I hope it pays off. Regardless, I've given it my best through the schedule so far.
A cut back week this week coming up.
Hope your training went well this past week.
Have a great day and....Keep Running!!!!
I ran 50 miles too. Well, um, or wait. It was closer to 12. But I thought about running 50 times. Nice training. I am envious.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mark!
DeleteYou are lucky your work is done, I might be 4 weeks out from my marathon, but I still need to do all the training!!!
ReplyDeleteThe hardest work is done - smooth sailing from here on out! Nice job on a big week and enjoy the taper.
ReplyDeleteNice job! I enjoy the taper as well...at least the first real week of it, then I start getting nervous. Your training has been spot on! You are going to kill Indy!
