As crazy as I thought it was running in six inches of snow which eventually led to 12-18 inches in our area, then the temperatures took a downturn.
Over the week, it had to have been a record change in temperature in such a short period of time. This is the temperature of the start of my Tuesday morning run, a run which I'm guessing will go down as my coldest run ever for a very, very long time:
Coldest I've ever run in. |
After Tuesday's run(disclaimer: I have proper equipment to run in these temperatures so don't try this unless you do) |
Much better |
During today's run |
In these last five days, I've run in colder temps, warmer temps, a snowstorm, icy conditions, windy conditions, foggy weather, and wet, rainy weather. You name it and I have done in in the last four days.
Yes, I am an outdoor runner in Michigan. Just another day in paradise.
Have a great day and....Keep Running!!!!
You rock! Wait, the weather WILL change, not always THAT dramatically though! Stay safe!
ReplyDeletelol! Omg I can't believe you ran outside in that stuff! To cold!!
ReplyDeleteI love this kind of extreme running! It shows how tough (or crazy) we are! Ha!
ReplyDeleteMan, regardless of distance of any run you do, you will forever be revered as a tough SOB for going even 100 meters in those crazy temps. I treadmilled it all week. You win!
ReplyDeleteHaha. It was kinda cold Jim.
DeleteIt never even gets cold enough to need a shirt here...
