First race of the year!!!!

Up next is my first race of the year!  It a new race to me but only the second year for the race.  It's the Auto Show Shuffle 5k tomorrow and it's located in downtown Detroit.  This is absolutely one of my favorite places to run of all my running.  I love running on the downtown riverfront.  As you might remember, I ran the Mustache Dache down there and while it's not the exact course, it looks like a good one.  Here's part of the Mustache Dache course

While I would love to have weather like that tomorrow(yeah right), that's not going to happen.  Someone in my runners group, the SEMR, took a picture last night of part of the course and this is what it looks like now:

Ah, what a difference a couple months makes, huh?  Check out those big ice chunks in the river!

Regardless, this one is for fun especially if the course looks like above.  I'm happy to kick off the race year in downtown Detroit.  I'll be back with a full race review.
