Garmin API Integration with Strava

For those that use Strava, some exciting news today related to working with Garmin.  Garmin will now allow you to automatically sync to Strava for all your activities.  While you can do this now through an outside program(as I do), I think this will make it much easier.  All you will need to do is go to "Upload" and authenticate your account and you should be set up.

In addition, if you have a Bluetooth enabled device like the Garmin 220, you will be able to upload directly to Strava without the need to be in the Garmin app.  Of course, I usually upload everything to Garmin and then it transfers but this is a nice feature as well.  It's also nice when Garmin Connect is down but you want to get your workout onto Strava.

While I love my Garmin, I've never been shy to tell people that the Garmin software has always been mediocre.  Hopefully this will help it be better.  It will certainly make our lives easier and I'm glad to see that Garmin and Strava have taken the next step to work together.

Have a great day and....Keep Running!!!!
