Tomorrow will be half number 30 for me! That is just crazy to me. It's one of my favorite half marathons too - the Brooksie Way Half in Rochester. The Brooksie was also my very first half marathon as well as number 10 and number 19. I only missed it in 2011 because I had a full marathon and didn't think I could handle running it before the race. That is actually funny because I had a full marathon after in October or November in 2012 and 2013 so I don't know what I was thinking in 2011. Anyway, it's got a special meaning for me since this was my first half.
Here's some history of the Brooksie Way Half marathons I've run:
2010 - my first! Pretty happy with my results too - 1:45:55; ranked 422 out of 3,620

My brother-in-law(who got me into running) and my running buddy, Trieu |
2011 - I took the year off but decided to cheer on some runners at the race. It was still a great time.
|
2011 - winner coming down Tienken |
2012(Review
HERE) - 1:39:52 - ranked 244 out of 2,773. I was so pumped when I ran this race and could not believe my results. I also ran 10 miles the day before this race too which is insane! It's my second fastest time ever for a half marathon and 2012 was my best year running. Boy, I wish I could bring that year back.

Josh, Matt, me, Janet at the finish |
2013(Review
HERE) - 1:48:13 - ranked 474 out of 2,703 - a great time once again!

Trieu, Josh, me, and Kevin at the start line |

My goal for 2014 is to keep this a training run. Yes, I will likely run it harder than I should but I'd like to keep my road half marathon streak going which is under 2 hours so I'll shoot for 1:59:59. Haha!
See you at the finish line. I have a full review next week.
Have a great day and....Keep Running!!!!
