Marathon Week #12 complete
I had a cut back week this week with almost 38 miles. It felt good to run only 14 miles on Saturday. I ran again at Pontiac Lake and I'm glad I didn't have to do a 20 miler there. We ran with the Stay in the Shade organization which is always fun and had 15-20 runners. I also ran all trails this week and started really early on Thursday in order to go to the trail. I ran my first run in the dark in quite a long time and finished it with the sun coming up. Sunday was also a really tough run as it was 6 miles in torrential rains followed by 2 miles in just regular rain. Jeez that was the wettest run I've done in six years of running. I was literally running through puddles 2-5 inches deep 80% of the time!
This coming week in another big week with a 20 mile on the plate. I'm still not sure where I'm going to run it but I'm considering Paint Creek trail to keep things relatively flat this weekend. It's also nice because I can run 10 miles and buy a water in Lake Orion to refill and run back to Rochester. There is a race going on at Stony Creek and I'm not sure I want to be in the middle of that.
Hope your training is going well!
Have a great day and....Keep Running!!!!
